WW2 US 8th Army Air Force 445th Bombardment Group Tail Gunner Uniform Grouping With English Made Squadron Patch ID’D
ID’d to Sherwood Long PA native, who flew 5 combat missions during the war. His last mission was to bomb a railroad marshalling yard in Klatovy, Czechoslovakia. Flight bag is marked to Long, shows some typical wear/soiling. Uniform is in good condition, has laundry stamp in the collar which corresponds to Long’s serial number. Both sets of wings are sterling hallmarked. Squadron patch is one of the nicest I have seen, excellent English embroidery work.
